Niyum Gandhi is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Mass General Brigham. Previously, he was the executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief population health officer at Mount Sinai, an integrated academic health care system in New York.

Niyum has a wealth of experience and leadership, including his work to build Mount Sinai Health Partners, which is a clinically integrated network that aligns clinical and economic priorities. During his tenure, he positioned the health system as the leading population health manager in the competitive New York market.

Prior to Mount Sinai, Niyum served as a partner in the Health and Life Sciences consulting practice of Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, where he focused on financial planning, value-based health care and transformation strategies for hospitals, physician groups and health plans.

Throughout his career, Niyum has collaborated closely with a variety of health care providers and payers to help design and implement value-based clinical models, develop new contracting and integrated product distribution strategies, align funds flow and physician incentives, and establish the appropriate infrastructure to support value-based health care.

Niyum’s vast experience in finance and economics, combined with his deep knowledge of the broader health care provider and payer markets, make him the ideal leader to serve in his role at Mass General Brigham. Niyum holds an AB in Economics and Finance from Harvard University.
