Rosemary R. Sheehan, MBA is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Mass General Brigham. Rose partners with executive leadership to develop internal growth, expand and build people and process capabilities, create and drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence, and strengthen the strategic business alignment of the HR function.
Prior to her role as the Chief Human Resources Officer, Rose served as the vice president of Revenue Cycle Operations, which processed gross patient service revenue of more than $13 billion and cash collections of nearly $6 billion for all Mass General Brigham hospitals. In addition to her operational role, she was the executive director of the eCare project, which is responsible for implementing and governing Epic’s revenue and clinical system across Mass General Brigham.
For nearly 30 years, she has served in a variety of leadership roles in health care including the Executive Director of the Professional Billing Office of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. She also served in leadership roles at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. Rose also has extensive experience in health care revenue cycle operations, staff development and leadership, new business development, regulatory compliance and complex project management.
Rose earned her BA in Chemistry at Assumption College and her Master of Business Administration in Management at Babson College. She serves on the Board of Advisors of Scout Exchange, a platform for marketplace recruiting, and the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay.
