Amy Lee, MJ, MBA, MBHA, FACMPE

Amy Lee, MJ, MBA, MBHA, FACMPE, is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Before joining Nantucket Cottage Hospital, Amy held senior leadership roles across major health systems, driving operational performance, compliance, and strategic growth. She is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) and holds advanced degrees in health law, business administration, and health administration.

At Nantucket Cottage Hospital, Amy has overseen major improvements in access to care, including expansion of the primary care and specialty provider team, renovation of the Urgent Access Clinic, now offering walk-in visits with wait times of under 10 minutes, and delivery of more than 38 Mass General Brigham specialty services on island. Under her leadership, the hospital successfully treats 97% of emergencies locally, keeping care close to home.

Beyond clinical care, Amy has positioned NCH as a leader in education and community partnerships, expanding educational opportunities for current and future healthcare professionals and strengthening collaborations to address island-wide challenges such as housing, food security, and behavioral health. She is also leading the hospital’s most ambitious housing initiative to date: the construction of 26 new staff housing units, paired with flexible support programs, to ensure the hospital can continue to recruit and retain caregivers.

Her leadership has earned national and regional recognition. Amy was recently named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s Leaders to Know and, for the second consecutive year, Nantucket Cottage Hospital has been honored among the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by The Women’s Edge and the Boston Globe.

Widely respected for her ability to unite strategy with compassion, Amy remains committed to building a healthier, more resilient island community. Amy lives on Nantucket with her husband, Jon and chocolate lab, Dakota. Amy’s daughter is currently attending school to pursue a career in medicine.
