Claire Seguin, DNP, NEA-BC, has more than 30 years of clinical experience and over two decades of healthcare leadership across academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and community hospitals.

In her role as President and Chief Operating Officer of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, Claire is committed to strengthening the hospital’s role as a trusted community resource and ensuring access to safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for both year-round and seasonal residents. A nurse by training, her leadership approach is grounded in patient-centered care, operational excellence, and high-reliability practices that support caregivers and patients alike.

Claire has held senior leadership roles across the Mass General Brigham system, including serving as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Operations at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, Chief Nursing Officer at Nantucket Cottage Hospital, and Interim Vice President of Operations for the Community Division. Previously, she served as Associate Chief Quality Officer at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she focused on quality, safety, and performance improvement.

Throughout her career, Claire has been recognized as a thoughtful and collaborative leader who values listening, consensus-building, and alignment with community needs. As President and COO, her focus is on supporting the healthcare workforce, strengthening clinical and operational systems, and partnering with community organizations to advance the overall health and wellbeing of the Island.

Claire holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive. She also serves as a clinical lecturer at Harvard Medical School and as an associate professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and Northeastern University.
