South Shore Health
Mass General Brigham and South Shore Health collaborate to provide local access to advanced, world-class specialty and surgical care for patients across the South Shore and the surrounding area.
Programs and services include:
- Women’s Health: Our teams offer comprehensive and compassionate care in gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology, and breast care.
- Cancer care: The Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health offers seamless collaboration for each part of a patient’s cancer journey. Multidisciplinary programs and services include medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, imaging (CT, MRI, and mammography), and clinical trials.
- Surgery: Dually affiliated surgeons provide community access to general, thoracic, vascular, colorectal, urologic, breast, pediatric, and bariatric surgeries, including advanced robotic procedures. In addition, we collaborate to provide trauma surgical care at South Shore Hospital, the region’s only verified Level II Adult Trauma Center.
- Neurosciences: For more than 20 years, we’ve worked together to bring the most complex aspects of neurological and neurosurgical care to the South Shore. Services and treatments include a Sleep Medicine Program, comprehensive care for neurological conditions like stroke, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders/deep brain stimulations, epilepsy and seizure disorders, headache, and cognitive and behavioral neurology. We also offer expert neurosurgical care for brain and spine conditions.
- Cardiovascular care: We collaborate to offer advanced interventional and surgical services, including a comprehensive vascular surgery program and a leading limb preservation program. South Shore Hospital also features one of the region’s busiest Cardiac Catheterization Labs and offers expert interventional, electrophysiology, and advanced cardiovascular care delivered close to home, so you don’t have to travel to Boston.
- Primary Care: Our longstanding collaboration helps provide comprehensive services to primary care patients of both organizations, including local access to diagnostic imaging and testing services and shared patient care in a number of specialties.
- Medical Education: Our organizations work together to offer a surgical residency program in collaboration with Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
