Research and innovation
Nantucket Cottage Hospital nursing applies evidence-based practice to ensure a cooperation of the best external evidence with clinical expertise and the patient’s values and beliefs to provide holistic quality care based on the most up-to-date research and knowledge.
Nursing education and professional development
Educators and clinical leaders support the mission and vision of Nantucket Cottage Hospital by performing ongoing assessment to develop and support education, role development, collaborative partnerships, onboarding, orientation, competency management, and scientific inquiry.
Tuition and Certification Support
After 6 months of employment, employees may be reimbursed up to $3,000.00 per calendar year for the cost of tuition for courses or educational programs related to their profession or to support their area of interest within the Hospital, unless otherwise stated in a contract bargaining agreement. Nantucket Cottage Hospital will also reimburse a nurse for the cost of certification examination in a nurse’s most relevant practice area upon successfully passing the exam.
