Donor Advised Funds are an increasingly popular way to make a charitable gift and can provide you with immediate tax benefits while simplifying your charitable giving.
Contributions are tax-deductible and your investments in a DAF can appreciate tax free. You receive an immediate income tax deduction in the year you contribute to your DAF. Additionally, your DAF will not be subject to estate taxes. With a DAF, you get both tax benefits and the flexibility to recommend gift amount and frequency to your favorite nonprofits like Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

You can use your individual retirement account (IRA) to make a difference at Newton-Wellesley. It’s easy and might save you on taxes. Also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution, this is a tax-wise way to support Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
- You must be 70½ years or older at the time of the gift.
- For federal tax purposes, exclude those funds from your gross income.
