I'm extremely pleased with Dr. Aneja's capabilities and the way he has dealt with me in this whole operating procedure and on through the caretaking and also the updates that he's given me every time that I've been in, which is several different times, to have him re-look at the x-rays and my leg and the issues with it and so forth that I've run into. So he's been extremely useful and capable and I thank him very much for that and also for his assistants who've also all been excellent to work with. Thank you.

Dr Aneja obviously was well versed in femur fractures that don't heal. He recognized that the cause of this nonunion was important and ordered blood to be drawn for several tests. He seemed rushed in examining me and seemed dismissive at ti.es towards my pain. [redacted]

I was treated by doctors and nurses with courtesy, respect, and compassion. My injury was explained, as was the surgery I need to repair it. While I'm not looking forward to the surgery or the long recovery, I know I'm in the best hands possible.

He was thoughtful, listened well, ordered necessary tests (x rays and CT scan) and when the results were ready clearly explained what they meant.

I would have liked him to go over the images in more detail with me so I could understand better why on the MRI they thought I had metastatic bone lesions and he just said I had healing pelvic fractures. I felt like I was sent to the wrong specialist since he emphasized he was a surgeon and this wasn't a surgical case.

My experience at the office was outstanding. Everything moved along at a good pace and I was always informed of the next step. At the end when I was sent to X-ray and it was taking along time, a very nice person from this office even came to visit me to make sure I was ok! The Medical Resident was terrific and discussed details with me and Dr. Aneja was so nice. He remembered me from the ER and was all smiles when he greeted me. He was clearly "studied" on all of my issues and needs and even explained why certain things were a consideration due to my medicines. I felt extremely comfortable in his hands.

I got to see three people, a nurse, a fellow, and Dr. Aneja. [redacted]. Each of them explained exactly what was going on, gave me options on what to do, understood where I was coming from and my fears. They agreed to go with a more conservative plan versus a more radical shoulder replacement, which I really appreciated. And they set up a follow-up to make sure things are going to work out the way that I hope that they will work out. If they don't, we'll take on a different way of doing it. So I really appreciated them listening to me and going with a plan that makes me feel comfortable.

I don't think that this provider explained my condition or the reasons why they're denying to have, to take my surgery and do my surgery at Mass General. I don't think that he did a very good job explaining himself. And I was in shock because he told me a diagnosis, which was why I wasn't having the surgery there, but didn't explain what the diagnosis was. [redacted]

Dr. Aneja and the entire team from nurses to anesthesiologists, from the nurses before the procedure, the nurses and staff during and to the nurses after the procedure, everyone was extremely professional. Everyone answered all of my questions, explained to me everything that they were doing, everything that was happening, every medication that I was getting, every step along the way was explained to me. I never had a doubt of what was happening. Even when the surgery had got pushed back two hours, to no fault of anyone there, they made me comfortable and made me aware of the new time frame that the surgery was occurring.

Dr Aneja preformed 4 surgeries over the course of 2 years to repair my femur, which broke twice in different locations. He would not operate until after I was given a large battery of tests to assure that the breaks were not caused by cancer. They were not. This leg did not heal after the first surgery, most likely because I was given a cortisone shot by a Doctor at a different hospital. A year later, another surgery to that site was preformed but, on my 3 week follow-up, X-rays showed that I had a new break. Dr. Aneja was at a conference in Montreal during this visit. His staff informed him of the new break. Dr Aneja left the conference in order to do another, challenging surgery.. I can't thank Dr. Aneja enough. He did extra-ordinary work. Without his expertise, I might be in a wheel chair. He is an outstanding surgeon and an exceptional caregiver.
