Nicholas Brian Abt, MD

Nicholas Abt, MD, is an otolaryngologist who sees pediatric and adult patients for all disorders of the ears, nose, and throat in the Mass Eye and Ear Mashpee and Harwich offices on Cape Cod.

He completed his undergraduate studies at University of Florida graduating valedictorian summa cum laude giving the Commencement Speech. He then moved to Baltimore, Maryland to complete medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine graduating with highest honors and was induced into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Abt then completed residency in the Harvard Combined Program in Otolaryngology at Mass Eye and Ear/Mass General Brigham. He followed this with advanced fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology, skull base, and reconstructive surgery at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Abt has a special interest in thyroid and parathyroid disorders and surgery, head and neck cancer, and sinus surgery. He treats pediatric patients along with adults along a wide spectrum of ear, nose, and throat disorders. He manages obstructive sleep apnea and performs sleep apnea surgery. Finally, he employs minimally invasive endoscopic techniques for sinus related pathology.
