• I just wanted you to know that Dr. Burke came to meet me for my appointment because it was more convenient for me. I had another appointment in the Wang building and she was done a colonoscopy and going over to her colitis. So she came up and met me and did the office visit just herself. So that was the most wonderful thing. I thought that you should know how special she is to do that and that she walked me out to make sure that I got checked out and everything was copistatic before she left. So she went above and beyond. Thank you.

• I absolutely love Dr. Kristin Burke. It has been a very long time of me at another hospital, about 20 years at Beth Israel, always seeing a male doctor, always kind of knowing I wanted to see a female. And I just, I cannot say enough good things about her. She was lovely, smart, articulate, took time to explain things to me, respectful, like giving me a chance to try different therapies, just like really knowledgeable. I just, I love her so much. I feel like I just found my perfect gastroenterologist. So I'm just, I'm really happy to have all my care switched over to MGH and to have another doctor, you know, taking care of me and respecting me.

• Dr. Burke listens carefully and regards me as a partner in treating my condition. It is not uncommon for a doctor to treat an older patient by simply telling her what to do and leaving it at that, even when studies have shown the recommended treatment to be inferior. Dr. Burke was never patronizing or dismissive. She was supportive and friendly. I feel lucky to have found her.

I never feel rushed at my appointment and Dr Burke has been able to put me in remission with my UC due to her thorough review of my history and making changes in meds and recommendations on diet, etc. Her dietician is excellent. My previous gastro doc was good, but did not think outside of the box for my treatment. I am very lucky to have found Dr. Burke.

• Just to clarify, results from any testing in the last six months were not communicated by anyone from the provider's office; however, results were available in the portal and I accessed them there. All results were within normal limits. Whenever anything has been out of range, it is always communicated by someone in the office along with next steps.
