Dr. Batchelor is the Martin Samuels Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and the Chair of the Department of Neurology at Mass General Brigham. He specializes in neuro-oncology and sees adult patients with primary brain tumors and neurologic complications of cancer or cancer therapy. He completed medical school at Emory University, a neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a neuro-oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He is the past President of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, past Chair of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Brain Malignancies Steering Committee, and current Co-Leader of the neuro-oncology program for the Harvard Cancer Center. HIs research has been continuously funded by the NCI for nearly three decades and focuses on novel therapies for primary brain tumors including gliomas and CNS lymphomas.
