• I felt that Dr. Colwell was very warm, very kind, very intelligent, and very good at listening and answering questions that I asked. I did, however, find that the education in general was a little bit lacking and that if I didn't ask the question, I felt like I might miss some pertinent information that wasn't otherwise going to be told to me or given to me. However, like I said, whatever I did ask was answered thoroughly and kindly and respectfully. So that was never an issue. I just felt like perhaps there might have been some more robust education in general at all the different steps.

• My hesitation is not so much about this provider. It is more to do with whether my options can be combined to meet all that I am looking for in this surgery. I have definite ideas and recognize that meeting them all simultaneously may not be possible. I'm not sure that the doctors involved have the time to try to think outside the box. I'm not sure that is something many patients may be hoping for.

• I had a great first visit experience with Dr. Colwell. I wasn't sure of the direction I wanted to go in and Dr. Colwell explained all of the options carefully to me. She drew pictures so I could easily understand what the surgery would entail. After examining me and listening to my concerns she recommended a different direction where she believes I will get a better outcome. Dr. Colwell was recommended to me by a friend who had the same planned surgery and I am very happy she is a part of my care team.
