Belinda Juliet Chan, MD

Dr. Chan was born in Newport Beach, CA, grew up in Silicon Valley, and attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with dual majors in Biology and History. She completed medical school at Yale and her residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA, where she later served as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

In 2002, Dr. Chan established a private practice in Branford, CT and continued to teach medical students and residents as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale. In 2012, her practice joined Yale New Haven Health.

Dr. Chan is delighted to join the MGH Concierge team and the Harvard community, where she brings more than two decades of experience in personalized internal medicine and academic practice. Her clinical interests include lifestyle medicine as well as the care and prevention of diabetes and prediabetes. Dedicated to delivering highly individualized care, Dr. Chan centers her approach on the unique needs of each patient. She is also the author of the chapter on Alternative Medicine in the textbook Women’s Health: Principles and Clinical Practice.

Dr. Chan has two sons, both graduates of Yale. She speaks a little Spanish and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). She loves cooking, especially baking croissants, and is close to completing her certificate in culinary arts at CSCA. She also enjoys running, painting, and spending time with family friends, and her rescue dog, Fred.
