• Dr. Cosgrove is an example of how all doctors should be. I could list each of his attributes but that would take too long. I have been to many doctors over the past 30+ years and he is, without a doubt, one of the top two. I had lost my trust in the medical profession and he is like a breath of fresh air. I would trust him to do my brain surgery. I was very leery of dealing with another neurosurgeon because usually their ego is so large it's hard to communicate with them. Dr. Cosgrove put me at ease within two minutes. When he told me that he couldn't help me I believe he was genuinely sorry. Above all, I appreciated his honesty and empathy. He even took the time to explain other options for my condition that were not in his purview. Thank heavens there are doctors like him.

He had reached the same conclusion but rather than tell me gave me the chance to get there myself. And with him, from when I first met him and then got to know him, his personality, for what I went through, it was absolutely life-changing for me. I mean, I was going through years and years. And with him, with how he went through it and talking with him, that's just as beautiful because he's right from the heart. And him being able to do it makes him as happy as I was receiving it. • My husband's experience could not have been better. From the nurse practitioner he saw in the morning to even beginning before that with the receptionist to the PA, [redacted], I think was her last name and the neurosurgeon, Dr. Cosgrove, was just so good at explaining things and warm and a great listener. Dr. [redacted] later on and Dr. [redacted] and the two residents he also met with in the neuropsy department were also just excellent and everybody gave him their undivided attention and it felt really thorough and it was a challenging day.
