She took my concerns seriously and I felt that she was knowledgeable and read up on the papers behind the various concerns that I had and she wasn't just giving me her heuristic opinion. She was also looking at empirical data. So I had a good healthcare experience.

• I was very nervous about going to see Dr. Cohen only because I haven't been able to get a proper diagnosis since last year. This was the first appointment with a skincare specialist where I felt they read my file and didn't immediately dismiss me and my symptoms. I was really appreciative of the scalp biopsy because I've been asking for one for a few months now and I was thrilled that that was the first thing Dr. Cohen decided to do. The only reason I haven't provided tens on most of my answers and yes, definiteles is because I haven't received biopsy results yet. It was my first appointment so I don't think I can give a full honest score there until I hear back from the biopsy. But I'm hopeful.

She thought that she had seen dandruff in my hair although I explained to her that I inadvertently left a Leave-in Hair Conditioner in my hair and did not rinse my hair after putting on the hair product. • My needs were very simple-a question about expected healing time for a shave biopsy performed 5 months ago by another clinician, and suggestions for blackhead removal (one small spot). Re the blackhead, I was surprised that Dr. Cohen had never heard of "drawing salve," a traditional easily Googled ointment that I knew could have some effectiveness; she offered only to squeeze the blackhead, which I declined, having read long ago that squeezing is not recommended-other options being available, which she didn't mention. I did appreciate her referring me to the Cosmetic Team at Chestnut Hill, for consultation about another issue. Overall she was personable and warm.

She was there the last time I had to have weird spots shaved off and is always so kind and soothing, and friendly.
