• When onboarding a new patient in dermatology it would be a good idea to look at the overall skin condition of the patient, not just what they say is a problem to establish a baseline for the health of the patient. This did not happen.

• Dr. Dewane was professional and congenial. She used our time together efficiently but still found time for "small talk". She is a great listener. And a great explainer - both in responding to questions from me and in explanations about the procedures that I got during the visit. I especially appreciated that she was very thorough in her check of moles, etc. She looked carefully at a half dozen that I pointed out and also carefully looked for some that I might have missed. She found several and explained what about each of them that caught her attention. I was highly pleased with my visit.

• Dr Dewane had a 3rd year student who ask to do a pre-exam, which I was happy to do. He was concerned about a mole on my shoulder, and said he would discuss it with Dr Dewane. When they returned, the doctor asked if the student could stay. I said great because I could learn along with the student. When she got to my left shoulder, she said she understood why he was concerned, and then told him three things about the mole that ruled out cancer at this site. Aside from the excellent care I received, I was very impressed the quality of the 3rd year student, and even more by the patient and encouraging mentoring she gave him.

And the doctor and all the staff are exceptional with him and with us. I highly recommend them.
