• Dr Dewane very carefully reviewed with me CT scan images of a suspected hernia and, in illuminating detail, clearly explained why more evidence was needed from a ultrasound before he would feel comfortable recommending corrective surgery. Dr Dewane then ordered the ultrasound which subsequently identified an inguinal hernia. I was very impressed by Dr Dewane's thorough, thoughtful and cautious approach. He inspires great confidence and I believe he is a first rate physician.

• I was very happy with Dr. Dewane. He was knowledgeable, explained everything and gave me options. I felt like he was absolutely the person I needed to talk to about my hernia. The women who talked to me first were great too. As always Mass General has such good Drs. Now I just need to get my surgery scheduled. Hopefully they will call me soon to do that.

He did not want to rush to the hernia surgery without first getting a feedback from the GI oncology specialist on some flags raised by Radiologist on the CT scan of abdomen and pelvis. I thought it was very kind and wise decision on the part of Dr. Dewane!
