Brahyan Galindo Mendez, MD, MPH

Dr. Brahyan Galindo Mendez is a cognitive neurologist at Mass General Brigham who specializes in the diagnosis and care of adults with neurodegenerative cognitive disorders. He treats patients with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, mild cognitive impairment, memory loss, and related cognitive and behavioral conditions.

Dr. Galindo Mendez is a member of the multidisciplinary anti-amyloid therapy program, where he helps evaluate and monitor patients with Alzheimer's disease who are receiving these treatments. His approach emphasizes accurate diagnosis, thoughtful treatment selection, and personalized care for patients and their families.

He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia, completed his neurology residency at Dartmouth, and pursued fellowship training in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He has a particular interest in clinical trials, the use and interpretation of emerging biomarkers for the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, and individualized assessment of the risk of cognitive decline. His clinical and research interests include improving the early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias through biomarkers, emerging therapies, and personalized approaches to risk assessment and care.
