John E. Harris, MD is the inaugural Chair of Dermatology for Mass General Brigham and a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Harris is a physician-scientist, caring for patients in a vitiligo specialty clinic while also running a research laboratory focused on understanding disease pathogenesis and the development of new treatments. His group’s clinical trials in vitiligo treatment have shown success through the use of basic, translational, and clinical research strategies.
Dr. Harris has extensive experience leading research and development of innovative treatments for inflammatory skin conditions. He has authored multiple research publications and chapters on vitiligo and other topics and serves on a number of advisory boards and committees, including the Dermatology Foundation, Skin of Color Society, Vitiligo Working Group, Vitiligo Research Foundation, National Alopecia Areata Foundation, American Academy of Dermatology and the New England Dermatology Society.
