Dr. Lida Hariri is a physician-scientist at Mass General Brigham and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. She received her combined MD/PhD degrees from the University of Arizona, with her doctorate in Biomedical Engineering focused on multimodal optical imaging for early cancer detection. She subsequently completed her pathology residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she is a practicing pulmonary pathologist. Dr. Hariri leads an NIH-funded research lab which focuses on early diagnosis, monitoring, and pathophysiologic investigation of fibrotic lung disease, interstitial lung abnormalities,
long COVID, COPD, transplant rejection, and small airways disease using novel techniques such as endobronchial optical coherence tomography (EB-OCT).
She is an elected member of the Fleischner Society and the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and serves as Chair of an NIH study section.
