• Dr. Henkel is always professional and treats you with courtesy and explains things and keeps looking at the computer to tell you what your past was and how well you're doing now or how poorly you're doing now. • I couldn't be more lucky and thankful to have Dr. Henkel as mine and my husband's PCP. On [redacted] my husband [redacted] was severely burned-25% of BMSA- due to propane gas tank explosion while grilling. Almost immediately after the accident Dr. Henkel was notified by the system and I was able to see him to put together plan for my husband's future care when he will be released from Burn Unit @ MGH. Thank you dr. Henkel for never making me feel rushed and for always listening so closely! You are a phenomenal patient advocate! Navigating the healthcare system can be truly daunting, but having a trusted, open minded PCP who truly understands my situation and history gives me so much peace of mind. • I really liked Louis Henkel. I think he has a really good manner when he speaks to patients. I'm someone with chronic health conditions and I often feel, you know, like people, when I first step in the room, they tend to think I'm not capable as much. But with Dr. Henkel, he's very encouraging. I do do a lot of things in life, and he responded well to that, and just makes me feel more encouraged to keep doing good work on my health. So I just wanted to send good feedback to him because I thought it was positive.

Life no longer had meaning because it was so difficult to cope with grief and the betrayal of a partner. I was left aimless, without perspective, and almost lifeless, close to an abyss. But even at my age, my guardian doctor influenced me to go back to school.
