• After waiting to see an oncologist for a month, having been told I needed to be seen, I was given an appointment with Dr. Syriac. I had naturally assumed my cancer had returned. Dr. Syriac was wonderful: kind, sincere, compassionate. He explained the situation, (I had been given a test by another oncologist that is considered unreliable) and his manner was quite calming. He asked what I felt about it, offered what he would do in the circumstances, and even asked my husband if he had questions. He talked with other oncologists about the situation and called us the next day, to assure us further. I can't say enough about Dr. Syriac's professionalism and character.
