(1) He was aware of new trends in providers keeping patients on methimazole longer, in other countries, which shows he has continued to education himself since leaving medical school and is open to other evidence-backed ways of doing things besides just the prevailing orthodoxy. [redacted] (2) His questions indicated he customizes his approach to the patient (e.g., having a patient try T3 supplementation if warranted), rather than use a one-size-fits-all approach. [redacted] I agree with the conservative approach. In short, I think his approach is careful, informed, thoughtful, up-to-date on treatment options and their pros and cons, and considers his patient as a whole person.

• Dr. Kim is probably one of the best providers I've ever seen in my entire life. He listens, he is thoughtful, he gives his honest opinion about things, and he is so responsive when I write messages in the portal. My previous endocrinologist accused me of abusing my thyroid medicine because they couldn't stabilize my TSH. Turns out my TSH was unstable.
