• - as always, doc was empathic and encouraging and explaining rather than critical and chastising about lifestyle changes. So much more productive than eg family member, where "doc yells at patient for high cholesterol diet lifestyle and patient ignores and delay appts and rinse repeat." - doc accommodates some medical dosage changes in way that make me take more notice if/when he does have stricter dosage instructions Eg way back, doctor used to say high dose of gaviscon no toxicity concern, though maybe you are treating symptoms. So now when doc says "if you are on the high dose nexium and introducing herbal things, try to use less gaviscon, so u aren't depending on too many meds" (paraphrasing) I was much more attuned to Dr gaviscon instructions because it changed and because he explained change (as opposed to a doc who is strict all the time, the kind of doc whose rules start becoming easier to "ignore" unfortunately ...) Same, when doc says, 2x 250mg anti gas max, or 2x coalesce enough no need the 3x coalesce the infusion center regimen, I follow his instructions much more than I maybe otherwise would have
