Maxim Lutskiy, MD, PhD, is a pediatric allergist/immunologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical interests include food allergies, primary immune deficiencies, drug allergies, atopic dermatitis.
Dr. Lutskiy attended Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy and completed his Pediatric Residency in Republican Hospital in Moscow. He defended his PhD thesis in Moscow on phenotypic and genetic associations in primary immunodeficiency. He moved to the United States in 1999 and studied genetics of immunodeficiency syndromes at The Center for Blood Research in Boston. Dr. Lutskiy published a number of articles on genetic variability in immunodeficiency syndromes.
After completing years of research, Dr Lutskiy finished medical residency at Metrowest Medical Center and Allergy/Immunology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Boston. He worked as an adult and pediatric allergist/immunologist at Atrius Health since 2012. Dr. Lutskiy joined MGH on September 1st, 2018.
He is a member of numerous medical societies.

I appreciate Dr. Lutskiy's approach and care of my daughter and discussion around strategies for managing her allergies and introducing food challenges where appropriate. The presentation of the data, her results and his approach is really thoughtful and intentional and I highly respect that.

My daughter has not been seen by this care provider in several years because her allergies and asthma have been well maintained. We came just for a checkup and to update some tests and I was really impressed with how up-to-date the care provider was with my daughter and how he remembered everything that we had seen him for in the past. I'm really happy with the care that we were given. Thank you.

The doctor was efficient and thorough. I wish he had written all the instructions and given us an after-visit summary; we spoke about a lot of instructions and they were somewhat complex with multiple contingencies. I also wish he had been a bit more inquisitive and discussed about how the news of our child's allergy will impact our lives (eg travel and cultural expectations and limitations)

Dr. Lutskiy always does a great job of listening to my concerns and helping me make a plan to manage my daughters allergies/address current concerns using evidence based medicine. He is always kind and respectful. He offers an actual opinion which I appreciate and we work together to come up with a plan that I feel comfortable with.

I came to MGH for a 2nd opinion after receiving care from Atrius that was not helpful or respectful. I could not be more grateful that I made this choice and that I was able to see Dr. Lutskiy. Not only did he take his time and hear my concerns but agreed and reran tests right away to get to the bottom of the issue. His expertise and knowledge allowed us to discover we do not have an allergy that had been misdiagnosed. He took the time to listen and hear us out and I am so glad to have my daughter in his care.
