• This provider was very resourceful. He knew he read my file. He knew everything. And when he conversed with me, he conversed in a way that I could understand. He listened to my views. And whatsoever he said, he asked my opinion, what do I think about this, or how do I feel about this. So I was very comfortable with him and feeling very confident that he will take care of my needs.

• I feel so fortunate that an Oncologist at MIT Health referred me to the Mass E&E when I had my first case of Uveitis more than 30 years ago, and that Dr. Papaliodis has overseen my care for more than 20 of those years. During those years, I had several health issues, one resulting in major surgery at the MGH in 2008, which triggered my last case of Iritis the night before my discharge. With all of the uncertainty about my health, and noticing my eyesight changing, when I see Dr. Papaliodis each year, I always feel calmed. It has to do with trust, I guess, and during my most recent appointment, when he explained the changes that were happening to my eyes (which he can still correct with eyeglasses), I was relieved, but realized whatever came next, if Dr. Papaliodis prescribed it, it was in my best interest and I trusted him 100%.

• I have been working with Dr Papaliodis since last year managing some bad allergies that affect my eyes and have been causing some form of allergic conjunctivitis an occasional eye swelling. Dr Papaliodis has been the only one of over 10 doctors that I have been dealing with this issue on who has come up with something that has really helped. I'm still having occasional struggles with these allergies but my care team has grown much stronger with his support and he has worked with my other doctors to help me be able to manage my symptoms better. • Dr P is fabulous! He listened attentively, he's knowledgeable, efficient and kind. I have an auto immune disease that has a negative effect on my eyes. When I called to make an appointment to see him, I specifically asked if he performs a certain procedure I was told could help me. I was assured by a receptionist he does, however, when I arrived, Dr P explained that mass Eye And Ear no longer provides that particular service, although they had in the past. I asked for a letter of medical necessity so I could submit it to my insurance to find a different practitioner that does the procedure so I can attempt to get the procedure covered by my insurance. Dr P graciously agreed. The young woman working with him (a fellow) was also amazing. Within two days I had a detailed letter I could submit to my insurance. Although it's not a clinician's responsibility to help navigate health insurance, I really appreciate the kind behind the scenes work they did on my behalf.
