• This care provider was amazing. She ordered tests. She did explain that my condition could be a combination of different things. She also gave me orders to give to the ER when I have a reaction, and hopefully they will draw them when I have my next reaction requiring to go to an emergency room. Super knowledgeable, listened, trying to get all the information I can to you guys between all the fact that I have 17 providers, but amazing, truly.

• I was really impressed with Dr. Ramirez's thoroughness as well as knowledge. She brought up something I was thinking about and really surprised me as so many doctors don't have knowledge on this subject, but should. She definitely understood how it impacted me and affected our discussion. As this was a first visit, there was a lot she needed to gather. I really appreciate a doctor who is as meticulous as Dr. Ramirez is about gathering this information because of course it greatly shapes how you view the overall health of the patient, as well as your mutual care goals. She spent more time with me than was allotted because it was necessary, and did not make me feel rushed. I was aware that we were over our time, but as she did not appear stressed, I simply carried on. That is huge! I am a VERY complex patient who sees numerous specialties. This time was necessary, and she recognized that. I don't encounter that as often as I should, so I really appreciate it when I do.

• A doctor told me I was allergic to penicillin after I had a rash in 1982. Since then, other doctors and allergists have expressed some doubt about whether or not I might be allergic to penicillin, but until I met Dr. Ramirez, no one had ever suggested checking to be sure. She explained that penicillin is often the best drug to use for some conditions, and that it would be good for me to find out if, in fact, I can take it. I was very impressed with how professional and thorough she is, as well as warm and clear. I feel fortunate to have found her.

It was my first appointment at the allergy clinic and she took the time to listen to my symptoms and provided insights that I did not have regarding what should be checked beyond allergies. Even though she was very busy and had to step out of the exam room to deal with an urgent issue, I felt so welcome and respected during this visit.
