• Dr. Steele has been treating me for about 5 years, ever since I spent 50 days post operation at the General. He practices with a genuine calling. A this visit I was diagnosed with an infection and encouraged to go to the ER. Later that afternoon he came to the ER to see me. And he came again the following day after I had been released.

• Dr David Steele has been my nephrologist for 10 years. He diagnosed me with Amyloidosis in 2016 when 3 other NY nephrologists could not find a reason for low eGFR. He always goes throw my lab work and gives me the reasoning for the values and what we need to work on. Dr has called me at my home to explain changes and answer any questions. Excellent provider. I am still active and enjoying live at [redacted] because of his diligence.

One of the biggest reasons I attend Mass General is because of Dr. Steele's presence. He has for many years been an amazing diagnostician with stellar expertise. I am both honored and grateful to be his patient. He is readily available by Patient Gateway messaging and has often immediately answered my questions on that format. He also called me at home directly in response to my questioning, which certainly was above and beyond. I have learned an enormous amount about my CKD from Dr. Steele, and under his 6 month monitoring of my condition, I am confident I will retain optimal kidney function at this stage. • This was my initial visit w Dr Steele. He was well informed about my medical and surgery history and the meds i'm currently on. I had lab work done, including a blood test. The following morning, Dr. Steele called me to tell me the results. Bec there was a negative variance with the test indicating the efficiency of my kidneys, he asked that i take another blood test during the following week or two. I greatly appreciated his follow-up and attention

I was impressed with his evaluation of my last CT Scan and was able to point out a small kidney stone (which had not been brought to my attention - as far as I recall - when the CT was posted to my Portal). He answered all my questions and gave me advice on limiting the Vitamin C pills that I take due to their involvement with the oxalate process helping to "grow" kidney stones. He also reminded me to keep drinking 2 ltrs of water a day. I felt as though this was a thorough and helpful meeting.
