• As a woman of color, it was refreshing to have a doctor who also was a woman of color. I live in New Hampshire and traveled 2 hours one way for this appointment. It was worth it because I learned my providers in New Hampshire had misdiagnosed me since they have little to no experience providing care for people of color. The provider I saw knew right away what my issue was and provided me with honest assessment of treat ability, including letting me know that what I had been taking to address the problem would not work. She gave me alternative options specific for dark skin. Finally, a doctor who gets it! I've been wasting hard earned money on terrible and dismissive medical care for years, so Dr. Scott was a life saver.
