Ilyas Sahin, MD

Dr. Ilyas Sahin, MD, is a medical oncologist at the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he specializes in the care of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A member of the Center for Gastrointestinal Cancers and the Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies, he cares for patients across the full course of their disease, from initial diagnosis and first-line treatment through advanced-stage care.

Dr. Sahin serves as principal investigator for clinical trials in HCC, including first-in-human studies of novel agents and later-phase trials evaluating emerging treatment strategies. His research focuses on targeted therapies, immunotherapy combinations, and approaches to overcoming treatment resistance. Through the Termeer Center, he also brings extensive experience in early-phase drug development to patients seeking options after standard therapies.

Dr. Sahin works closely with specialists in hepatology, liver transplantation, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology to develop individualized treatment plans.
