• Dr Soumerai is fabulous! I was frankly terrified before I saw him, after getting the results of some tests from a different dept. Dr. Soumerai first put me at ease, reviewed the tests in a way that was accessible and reassuring, answered every question (and I had many!), never seemed the slightest time-pressured although I know he has a huge patient responsibility. Before meeting him, I thought I would get a second opinion from another hospital but after meeting him I cancelled the other appt. He is deeply and thoroughly knowledgeable about this disease, thoughtful, caring, patient, and open to all kinds of questions. Frankly, I feel lucky to have him as my doctor and grateful to MGB for providing access this this quality of care. The Fellow who met me in advance of meeting Dr. Soumerai was also great, answered questions and was also very kind.
