• This was the quickest visit that I have ever had with Dr. Vavvas. Everything just seemed to click together. As for the medical part of the visit, Dr. Vavvas and I talked about my eyes, that the left was getting worse and that I was filming over and under the new lenses. He told me that his scheduler would be in contact with me to schedule a laser ablation? His scheduler already called. All in all an absolutely first-rate visit.

• I saw three people...first, a woman who did an eye exam using the mirrors; second, a young male who started the conversation with "Tell me, in your own words, what's going on with your vision," which I really appreciated. He typed out my responses. Then I saw Dr. Vavvas, who also asked questions and reviewed notes, and did an exam. I was most impressed that they all asked me questions and allowed me to ask questions, and answered my questions to my satisfaction. (My previous provider was good at talking TO ME, rather than WITH ME.)

He enters there, he just says one or two sentences, and then he's ready to deal with his fellows, and you automatically feel you should leave. So there isn't much communication. Although he's very knowledgeable, he's very good, but he spends very little time discussing.
