Cooley Dickinson Hospital VNA and Hospice Volunteer form
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Cooley Dickinson VNA & Hospice! Make a difference in someone’s life while doing something deeply rewarding. Our hospice volunteers bring comfort and support to patients facing end of life. You can help in a number of ways including: patient companionship, family/caregiver support, complementary therapy (massage, Reiki, music, pet therapy), bereavement support, and administrative assistance. No experience necessary, full training provided.
Hospice volunteer requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to complete all volunteer training
- Can donate about 1 visit per week (approximately 1-2 hours with travel), with a 1 year commitment.
- Are a licensed driver with own transportation and auto insurance
- Willing to drive up to 20 minutes from your home to visit with patients.
- Will agree to all background screening and employee health screening which is required for all direct patient volunteering, including a current flu shot
- Will agree to health precautions and confidentiality standards
