About Mass General Brigham Orthopedics Walk-in
Patients with an orthopedic or sports-related injury to muscles, bones or joints can receive same-day care at a Mass General Brigham Orthopedics Walk-in. Our walk-in locations are staffed by expertly trained clinicians, providing physical examinations, diagnostic imaging (including x-rays), and comprehensive evaluations to ensure fast, accurate diagnosis and treatment that puts you on the road to recovery as soon as possible. On-site casting and bracing are available.
Our orthopedics walk-in sites are conveniently located in Brighton, MA, Hatfield, MA, Lawrence, MA, Peabody, MA, Wellesley, MA, and Somersworth, NH, and are available to all patients—no appointment necessary. These locations have extended hours so you can be seen by a specialist same-day.

- Hip injuries/pain
- Knee injuries/pain
- Muscle stiffness
- Numbness
- Shin splints
- Shoulder injuries/pain
- Sprains
- Tendonitis
- Elbow pain
- Tingling
- Torn muscles
- Wrist pain
Conditions we do not treat
If you are experiencing an emergency, or any of the following conditions, you should dial 911 and/or seek care at your nearest hospital emergency room.
For motor vehicle accidents, please call ahead. It is important for the PA to triage ahead of time if this is the right location for your care or if you will need to be sent to another location for additional testing/care.
- Chest pain
- Dislocated shoulder
- Loss of consciousness
- Open fracture (skin punctured, bleeding, and/or visible bone)
- Rib pain
- Suspected concussion
- Suspected cardiac arrest/event
- Suspected stroke
- Suture removal
