Our approach to eating disorder care

We provide outpatient care to support your medical and mental health needs. We also help coordinate additional services and referrals based on your needs.
Medical and psychiatric services

Our services include:

  • Assessments of your overall health
  • Evaluation and ongoing monitoring of medical complications related to eating disorders
  • Psychiatric evaluation and treatment
  • Coordination with nutrition and mental health services within the clinic
  • Help with referrals to outpatient clinicians, higher levels of care, or hospitalization

We can also refer you to the Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program for evidence-based mental health treatment and related research studies.

Working with your care team

You must have a separate primary care clinician while receiving care at our clinic. With your permission, we collaborate with your existing care team, including therapists, dietitians, psychiatrists, and primary care clinicians. We can also help you find additional care team members through referrals.

Before receiving a referral to our nutrition or psychiatric services, you must complete an initial medical consultation at the clinic.

What to expect at your first visits

Your first appointment is a 60-minute visit to review your health history and goals for care. This visit can be virtual or in person, depending on your preference.

Next, you will have an in-person visit for us to measure your weight, height, blood pressure, and pulse, complete a physical exam, and order additional tests if needed. We will discuss our recommendations and next steps with you.
