About the center
Center for Adults with Pediatric Rheumatic Illness (CAPRI) provides a continuum of care from pediatric to adult rheumatology, with a particular devotion to the multidisciplinary treatment of adults with childhood-onset arthritis and inflammatory disorders. We work with physical therapists, occupational therapists and orthopedic surgeons to provide optimal care for patients as they transition from their pediatric providers and then throughout their adult lives.
Part of Rheumatology, Inflammation, and Immunity
CAPRI coordinates services and provides diagnosis and treatment for patients with arthritis and other rheumatic conditions of childhood, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA), systemic lupus erythematosus and other connective tissue disorders. In general, patients should be at least 16 years old at the time of transition, although exceptions can be made for younger patients on a case-by-case basis.
