<p>Dr. Nawal Nour is a Kate Macy Ladd Endowed Professor at Harvard Medical School and serves as the Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mass General Brigham. She is a trailblazing leader in women's health, having previously served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for Faculty, Trainees and Students, and Director of both Ambulatory Obstetrics & Gynecology and Global Obstetrics and Gynecologic Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital.  </p> <p>A passionate advocate for women's health and rights, Dr. Nour is the founding director of the African Women's Health Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital, an initiative dedicated to addressing the health and policy needs of women affected by female genital cutting (FGC).  </p> <p>Dr. Nour is a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Foundation Fellowship and has been awarded with honorary doctorates from Bowdoin College and Williams College. She was also named one of Forbes' 40 Women to Watch Over 40. Her leadership extends to serving on numerous boards, including Brigham and Women's/Faulkner Hospital, the World Peace Foundation, WBUR, the Governor's Task Force on Hate Crime, and Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine (BORIM). </p> <p>Internationally, Dr. Nour has chaired key committees for the United Nations, World Health Organization (WHO), and the Paris International Federation of Gynecology (FIGO) Conference. In the United States, she has contributed to committees focusing on reproductive health, human rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion.  </p> <p>A widely respected scholar and speaker, Dr. Nour has lectured extensively and authored numerous publications, including the book Obstetrics and Gynecology in Low Resource Settings (2016).  She holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and an MBA from Imperial College Business School, London.</p>
