Burn Rehabilitation
Specialized support throughout your burn recovery
At Mass General Brigham, our specialized burn rehabilitation team provides personalized care and support throughout your recovery. Our holistic approach focuses on your physical and emotional well-being, helping you maximize your independence, build confidence, and return to your home, work, and community.
Family plays an important role in recovery. During your hospital stay, we work closely with you and your family to provide education, hands-on training, peer counseling, and connections to community support groups. We also teach practical skills and therapeutic techniques your family can use to support your care after discharge. Your team at Spaulding coordinates weekly virtual visits with your surgical team at Mass General Brigham to optimize continuity of care.
Spaulding Rehabilitation is recognized as a leader in rehabilitation care, ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top rehab hospitals in the nation. It is also home to the Boston-Harvard Burn Injury Model System, one of only four federally funded burn injury model systems in the country. Supported by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), this program advances burn rehabilitation through research, education, and innovations that help improve long-term outcomes for burn survivors.
