Project overview
An immediate need for healing
Patients enduring a mental health crisis deserve access to fresh air and sunlight. Currently, our 22-bed inpatient adult unit offers a safe, nurturing environment for intensive assessment and treatments including evidence-based small-group and peer-to-peer programs, as well as music therapy. However, with mental health needs on the rise, an outdoor space dedicated solely to recovery becomes increasingly vital.
A dedicated, integrated outdoor space for all patients
Research shows that exposure to fresh air and natural light measurably reduces stress hormones, lowers anxiety, and improves mood and cognitive function. A dedicated Therapeutic Rooftop Terrace would deliver these proven benefits, complementing the programs already offered on the unit, and ensuring that Cooley Dickinson remains a leader in providing the highest quality, safest care for every patient we serve
Your support will make a difference in mental health care
With your generous contribution, you will create a meaningful and lasting change in mental health care at our community hospital. Your support will not only invest in the well-being of our patients but also reinforce our commitment to compassionate, patient- centered care. Please consider supporting this profoundly impactful project.
Together, we will offer hope and healing to all who rely on our hospital for the care they need.
