• Dr. S. took great care with my complicated history, medications, allergies, symptoms, and extensive health issues. I was extremely impressed that she took time to go through my history on her own saving me the exhaustive repetition of my very long and tedius records. • It's been a long time coming for me needing a cardiology consult as my provider with the MGH Lipid Clinic left over 2 years ago with no ability to see new provider. I also wanted to be closer to home within a satellite MGB location and not commute in town. I especially wanted a female Cardiologist with an interest in women's cardiovascular disease. Dr. Sheftel met all expectations and more. I felt heard and she showed genuine interest in working with me to help navigate my ongoing elevated cholesterol levels despite a 20-lb weight loss with medication management. It didn't seem that way when my appointments were at the hospital. The only time I felt frustrated was towards the end when we "ran out of time." She did acknowledge that they didn't schedule her enough time and we had spent a lot of time ttogether but we weren't done and I don't live in the country full time so it's not like I can just schedule another appointment.regardless it was frustrating and I felt a little angry and sad. • The last three visits, the doctor did dictation more than communicate with me. The doctor when they first came into the exam today stated she needed to double check my blood because it seemed low. At the end of the exam visit, I asked if she was going take my blood pressure again. She she out of time and had to go to her next appointment. This response from her has happened the last couple of visits..

• Dr. Sheftel has been my cardiologist for at least 20 years. I'm a lawyer who does a lot of defense work which includes medical malpractice where I protect doctors who are sued. I have to say that Dr. Sheftel and her team are one of the best I have ever come across. They are knowledgeable, pleasant and genuinely care about how I am doing physically. That's why I have stayed with the practice for as long as I have.
