- Therapist-led social groups, summer camps, school vacation camps, and special events.
The Lurie Center for Autism at Mass General Brigham for Children specializes in caring for people who have autism and complex conditions, such as:
- Angelman syndrome
- Down syndrome/Trisomy 21
- Phelan-McDermid syndrome
- Rett syndrome
- Smith-Magenis syndrome
- Williams syndrome
We evaluate children aged 6 and younger for autism. Based on your child’s distinct needs, they may receive care from doctors, psychologists, educational and behavioral consultants, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists.
We provide ongoing medication-based treatment for children 6 and older who have autism and/or ADHD, as well as emotional and behavioral challenges.
Your child’s care starts with a clinical assessment that includes:
- Getting input from family and care providers
- Observing your child’s behaviors
- Reviewing your child’s behavioral health history and concerns
- Conducting screening tests
This information helps us customize a care plan that best supports all your child’s health needs. We partner with your family to follow your child’s progress and make medication changes as needed.
Pathways Academy at McLean Hospital is a private day school that meets the educational, social, sensory, and psychological needs of patients ages 6-22 with autism. We provide a low-stress, supportive learning environment that allows your child to progress at their own pace.
