LEAP provides neuropsychological evaluations for patients ages 2 to 22 at Massachusetts General Hospital. The program assesses cognitive, academic, emotional, behavioral, and social functioning, with expertise in learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, mood disorders, and neurological or genetic conditions.

Referrals must be submitted through Epic by an ongoing Mass General Brigham care provider (Epic Referral Order # 13228 - Amb Referral to MGH Pediatric Neuropsychology). LEAP does not accept referrals for academic or testing accommodations without medical necessity.

McLean Hospital provides outpatient psychological evaluations for people ages 16 and older with complex cognitive, emotional, and mental health concerns. McLean also offers accommodations testing for students ages 16 and older who have academic or learning difficulties and are seeking accommodations at school or for standardized college or graduate school exams, such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, GMAT, or MCAT.

Accommodations testing is paid for out of pocket and is not covered by insurance. Based on the evaluation results, we provide documentation to support accommodation requests.

Accommodations testing may be helpful for students who:

• Have been diagnosed with an academic disability, or suspect they have one, and are seeking accommodations for standardized exams
• Have ADHD, learning disabilities such as dyslexia, acquired brain injuries from concussions, or psychiatric concerns that may affect school performance

PEaRL at Massachusetts General Hospital provides comprehensive psychological assessments for adults with complex or unclear clinical concerns, including those who have not responded as expected to treatment or who may have co-occurring medical conditions. Evaluations use psychological and neuropsychological testing to develop a detailed understanding of a patient’s cognitive, emotional, interpersonal, and psychological functioning.

Referrals must be submitted through Epic by an ongoing Mass General Brigham care provider for a primary psychiatric diagnostic question [Epic Referral Order # 12240 - Amb Referral to MGH Adult Neuropsychological and Psychological Testing (PAC and PEaRL)]. Patients must be receiving mental health treatment. PEaRL does not provide testing for learning disabilities or accommodations, disability determinations, or forensic purposes, and does not diagnose or rule out autism, although it may assess patients with multiple mental health conditions.

PAC at Massachusetts General Hospital provides neuropsychological evaluations for adults with concerns involving thinking, memory, concentration, language, or other cognitive abilities, often related to neurological or medical conditions such as dementia, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, or traumatic brain injury. Evaluations can help identify cognitive strengths and challenges, clarify the cause of changes in thinking, support diagnosis, and inform treatment planning.

Referrals must be submitted through Epic by an ongoing Mass General Brigham care provider who has documented a cognitive concern [Epic Referral Order # 12240 - Amb Referral to MGH Adult Neuropsychological and Psychological Testing (PAC and PEaRL)]. PAC does not accept referrals for ADHD evaluation without a more complex differential, autism evaluation without additional cognitive concerns, academic or testing accommodations without medical necessity, or for disability determinations or forensic purposes.

The Salem Hospital Neuropsychological Assessment Center provides neurodevelopmental, neuropsychological, and multidisciplinary assessments and follow-up services to children, adults, and older adults. Its staff includes psychologists and neuropsychologists with extensive experience.
