Pre-operative and post-operative support groups
Salem Hospital Bariatric Support Groups are offered in English and Spanish on a monthly basis and are led by a dietitian or health professional from the Salem Hospital Wellness Clinic. They are live, interactive and held virtually through our secure Microsoft Teams platform (program participants will receive a Patient Gateway message with information on how to join an upcoming support group as the date approaches). Each meeting will typically start with the review of a specific topic or theme, followed by open discussion giving participants the opportunity to discuss their concerns, feelings, helpful tips, etc., with their peers.
We welcome participants who are considering bariatric surgery, preparing for bariatric surgery or have had bariatric surgery in the past. Your procedure did NOT have to take place at Salem Hospital in order to participate. We strongly recommend new patients to attend at least one support group prior to surgery. Call 978-825-6505 to learn more.
Apoyo preoperatorio y postoperatorio
