Leading edge cancer treatments

• CAR T-cell immunotherapy: We are one of the world’s foremost, advanced providers of CAR T-cell immunotherapies for cancer patients. This treatment remains rare worldwide, and patients from around the globe travel to Mass General Brigham for this treatment. Through CAR T-cell therapy, we have given hope to patients who have not responded to standard treatments like chemotherapy.
• Proton beam for cancer patients: Mass General Brigham was one of the world's first centers to use proton beam therapy to treat cancer. Proton therapy is an advanced radiation therapy that concentrates high-energy protons into tumors with high precision. Since 2001, our cancer team has treated over 10,000 patients with personalized proton therapy plans.
• Proton beam for pediatric cancers: Proton beam therapy is a radiation treatment that better targets a smaller area of the bottom, making it our preferred radiation treatment approach for children. Proton beam therapy allows a more targeted focus on the cancer cells and minimizes doses to healthy tissue around the cancer, reducing risks and side effects for children.
