Comprehensive assessments for older adults with HIV

Our geriatric specialist conducts ongoing comprehensive assessments to identify health concerns early. They partner with our infectious disease specialists to provide comprehensive care.

Your care team helps to:

  • Address issues that affect independence, such as memory concerns
  • Clarify goals of care, focusing on what matters most for you at this stage of life
  • Coordinate care among multiple specialists
  • Manage medications
  • Provide support and education to caregivers and loved ones
Meeting with us: What to expect

You may have a one-time visit with us or ongoing follow-up visits to address health concerns. During your first visit, our geriatrics provider may:

  • Assess your physical and cognitive function
  • Ask about any challenges you have while caring for yourself or others
  • Conduct a thorough medication review
  • Identify what matters most to you moving forward at this stage of life
  • Work with you to create a roadmap for care moving forward
Community partnerships
We partner with community programs and agencies in greater Boston and New England that support people living with HIV. Through these partnerships, we’re helping to increase awareness of issues related to aging with HIV.
