Cutaneous Vasculitis Service
The mission of the Cutaneous Vasculitis Service is to provide high quality clinical care to patients with cutaneous vasculitis in a timely manner, and to incorporate careful consideration of systemic disease beyond the skin into every patient visit.
About the service
We have experience with a wide range of conditions in patients from diverse backgrounds. Our team emphasizes collaboration, working closely with specialists from other programs, such as Rheumatology, in order to provide comprehensive care.
What is vasculitis?
Vasculitis involves inflammation of the blood vessels. In the skin, typically small and sometimes medium vessels may be involved.
Conditions we treat
Some of the conditions we treat include:
- Polyarteritis Nodosa (PAN)
- ANCA-associated vasculitis
- Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA)
- Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA)
- Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA)
- IgA Vasculitis (Henoch-Schonlein Purpura, HSP)
- Cryoglobulinemic Vasculitis
- Urticarial vasculitis
- Cutaneous vasculitis
- Leukocytoclastic vasculitis
- Hypersensitivity vasculitis
- We also have experience in conditions involving microvascular occlusion of the skin such as Livedoid vasculopathy.
