Diabetes in Pregnancy Program
Pregnancy with diabetes deserves expert, coordinated care. Our program brings together high-risk obstetrics specialists and endocrinologists to support you and your baby through every stage.
Comprehensive, coordinated care for people with diabetes during pregnancy
Because diabetes can affect both your health and your baby's development, having obstetric and endocrine expertise working together is essential to a safe pregnancy and healthy outcome.
We care for individuals with all types of diabetes, including type 1, type 2, gestational diabetes, and rarer forms such as monogenic diabetes (MODY). We also offer pre-conception consultations for those who are planning a pregnancy.

Our approach to obstetric and diabetes care
We bring together pregnancy specialists and diabetes specialists so that you receive comprehensive, integrated care in one place.
Integrated obstetric and diabetes care
With the latest medical treatments, women with diabetes can have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
Throughout your pregnancy and delivery, you are followed by an expert care team that includes:
- Maternal-fetal medicine specialists
- Endocrinologists
- Advance practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician associates) and nurses with specialized training in diabetes care and education
- Nutritionists with pregnancy and diabetes expertise
- Lactation consultants who provide diabetes-specific breastfeeding education
Comprehensive care throughout your pregnancy
Your care team supports you from your first visit through labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. We offer both in-person and virtual visits to fit your needs, and our team is experienced in supporting the use of diabetes technology, such as including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and automated insulin pumps throughout your pregnancy and during your hospital stay.
Specialized support for gestational diabetes
If you are diagnosed with gestational diabetes, you may be eligible for our remote monitoring program. Specially trained nurses review your blood sugar readings weekly and coordinate any additional care you may need, so you have expert support between visits.
