Gastrointestinal Surgery
International leaders in gastrointestinal surgery
Our approach to treating gastrointestinal conditions
Our board-certified general and gastrointestinal surgeons have extensive training and experience across a wide range of specializations. These include gastric (stomach), gallbladder and liver, abdominal (ventral) and groin (inguinal) hernia repairs, and bariatric (weight loss) surgeries including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. Whether the condition requires one specialist or an entire team, our experts deliver the best possible care for both primary procedures, as well as those who need complex revisional operations
Many of our faculty are recognized nationally and internationally as leaders in their respective fields and as influential voices within their specialty societies. The vast majority have published extensively in their areas of expertise and hold leadership roles in national and international organizations that define the standards of care for their disciplines.
Whenever possible, we select minimally invasive procedures to treat GI conditions. These methods use advanced imaging, precise techniques, and smaller incisions to provide an effective surgery with quicker recovery, decreased complications and excellent outcomes. Benefits of minimally invasive surgery include:
- Quicker recovery and shorter hospital stays
- Reduced bleeding and postoperative pain
- Fewer and smaller scars
