World-class pediatric aerodigestive care
Aerodigestive tract conditions affect the structures involved in breathing, eating, and speaking, including the airway, esophagus, throat, mouth, and vocal cords.
Effective treatment for aerodigestive tract conditions may require the expertise of more than one medical specialist. At Mass General Brigham, including Mass Eye and Ear and Mass General Brigham for Children, our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive, compassionate care for children with complex airway, swallowing, feeding, breathing, or voice challenges.

Our approach to aerodigestive care for kids
We’re here with complete care for your child, including the latest diagnostic tests, advanced treatments, and ongoing support.
Multidisciplinary team
Aerodigestive conditions can be complex, and the most effective diagnosis and treatment require a team approach. Our specialists in gastroenterology, pediatric ENT, pulmonology, and speech pathology work together as a team. This integrated approach reduces the need for multiple appointments, eases stress for families, and helps us diagnose and manage your child’s condition more effectively.
Convenient, timely care
To make it easier for your child to get the care they need, we schedule same-day appointments with multiple specialists in the same location. Diagnostic testing, including endoscopic and imaging procedures, may be completed during the same visit. Families leave with a clear, coordinated care plan.
Partnering with parents and caregivers
No one knows your child as well as you do. Our team takes time to listen to your concerns, answer questions, and include you as an active partner in decision-making. Together, we create a care plan that reflects your child’s needs and your family’s goals.
