Improving your quality of life
Shortness of breath caused by lung conditions can make it hard for you to do even the simplest of tasks. Pulmonary rehabilitation helps you breathe better so you can lead a more active and comfortable life.
Our dedicated physicians and therapists offer personalized support and the tools you need to better manage your condition. We teach you breathing techniques, exercises, and lifestyle skills to improve your quality of life.
Our approach to pulmonary rehabilitation
Pulmonary rehab empowers you to take charge of your respiratory health with proven strategies. We monitor your progress throughout rehab. Benefits of pulmonary rehab include:
- Reduced shortness of breath
- Improved well-being
- Fewer hospitalizations and medical emergencies
- Greater ability to tolerate exercise
Our program covers more than breathing and exercise. We give you the tools you need to manage your respiratory health. Our educational sessions cover topics to help you navigate daily life, including:
- Energy conservation
- Lung anatomy
- Medication management
- Nutrition and meal strategies for better breathing
- Oxygen therapy
- Stress management to reduce symptoms
- Travel tips
Exercise can improve your flexibility, strength, and cardiopulmonary endurance. Your plan may include a combination of stretching, strength training, and aerobic exercise.
We monitor your vital signs during each session, including your oxygen level, heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. If you need oxygen, we adjust your levels as needed throughout your session.
